About David Bruce
Bringing Big-Project Experience to Personal Spaces
Architecture has been a part of David Bruce’s life for as long as he can remember.
Growing up in Sherwood, Arkansas, David was always drawing. What began as a childhood love for sketching eventually became a calling to design spaces that improve the way people live, work, and gather.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Louisiana Tech University in 2007, David began building a career that would span nearly two decades and include projects ranging from educational and religious facilities to large-scale retail and supply chain developments.
For much of his career, David designed and managed projects for an Arkansas based Fortune 500 retailer, guiding projects through design, coordination, permitting, and construction. Working with organizations of that scale required careful planning, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex projects while collaborating with diverse teams of consultants and contractors.
Those experiences shaped the architect David is today.
But they also clarified what he enjoys most.
David founded D. Bruce Architecture, PLLC to focus on projects that are more personal—homes, additions, renovations, and small commercial spaces where relationships matter and thoughtful design can have a lasting impact on everyday life.
He believes good architecture is about more than creating beautiful buildings. It is about listening well, understanding how people live and work, and designing spaces that serve them for years to come.
Today, David brings the same professionalism, organization, and commitment that guided nationally recognized projects to every client he serves, regardless of the size of the project.
Beyond Architecture
David and his wife live in Rogers, Arkansas, where they are raising their four children.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking on their property, camping, and appreciating the simple rhythms of life. Those experiences continue to shape his appreciation for places that bring people together and encourage lasting memories.
David is an active member of First Baptist Church, Rogers Olive Street, where faith, family, and community continue to influence both his life and his work.
